He is a visual artist based in the united kingdom. He originally hails from Edo State in Nigeria, and graduated with a Fine Arts degree (B.A. Hons) from the University of Benin, in his home state of Edo. With a natural talent for expressing his ideas through visual arts, "Paintings by Nosa" showcases stream of consciousness thinking, creative color exploration and consideration, as well as sketchings.
"Paintings by Nosa" has been featured in solo and group exhibitions hosted at venues throughout Nigeria, America and in the UK, including his Alma Mater, University of Benin, Chevron Oil in Port Harcourt, "The Sojourner," Getz Arena in Lagos, "Open House Art" 2012, as well as collaborations with BNG Innovates in the United Kingdom and Henry Moweta Art Galleries. His recent exhibitions include 2014's "Chronicles of a Craftsman" in collaboration with Terra Kulture and Freedom Park in
Lagos, 2016's group exhibition with the Society of Nigerian Artists at the Nike Art Gallery in Lagos, 2018's exhibition at the Building block school for the arts Tennessee USA, 2019's solo exhibition "Drip season" and The Art around group exhibition in Lagos,Nigeria.
His brilliant fusion on color in oil on canvas and various media depicts the artist's perspective of life in Africa, its twists and turns, and the joys of living the African dream. When you look at Paintings by Nosa you encounter pure traditional African elements, while simultaneously detecting messages being passed to our modern world.
Nosa gets his inspiration from a broad range of artists specialized in realistic, expressionistic, and abstract art. His works are influenced by history, his environment, his appreciation for diverse cultures and ultimately God.
